EVERBLADES® INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
LIMITED 1-YEAR WARRANTY – Parts and workmanship warranted for 1 year.
WARRANTY PROVISIONS
-
Do not hook to more than 14 volts DC!
- Do not install just one blade – it will get too hot!
-
You must install both blades in a series, not parallel, hookup.
- Only the 26 series (refills) can be installed one at a time.
Note: Specially made Everblades®, if so identified, can be used in parallel hookup.
For example: Heated bridge models, refills made for competitor systems.
WARNING! Bending or twisting any portion of the blades may cause damage and poor wiping.
Follow these steps: {To make your experience with Everblades® more enjoyable, you could sing or hum “I Can See Clearly Now” by Johnny Nash!}
CAUTION: Keep wires from sharp edges in all steps.
- Mount illuminated on/off switch in convenient dash or under-dash location.
- Hook blue wire to GOOD ground.
- Attach red wire to a switched circuit.
- NOTE: A “switched” circuit is one that is OFF when the ignition is OFF. For example, if your switch is lit with the ignition OFF, the attachment is wrong.
- Turn wiper switch and ignition “ON”.
- Check that the switch light is “ON” = system connected properly.
NOTE: Power will be supplied to the heater elements only
when the switch light is “ON”.
- Run black wire from switch through firewall of vehicle and secure wires.
NOTE: You have the option of running around the firewall.
- Remove existing wiper blade assemblies from wiper arms (reference box below).
NOTE: Keep old adapters until “Everblades®” are installed - they may be useful!
REMOVE WIPER BLADES
Hook Arm
-
Lift up the wiper arm.

Rotate the wiper blade.
-
Press in the release tab at the bottom of the plastic adapter to disengage the hook.
- Push the wiper arm out of the blade.

Pin Arm
-
Press the center coil spring arm down using a screwdriver.
- Separate the wiper blade from the wiper arm.

Large Hook Arm
- Remove existing wiper adapter by pushing upward and discard.

Two Hole Bayonet
- Unscrew the two fasteners using a screwdriver.

Bayonet Arm

Press down the release tab at the end of the adapter.
- Pull the wiper arm out.

Female Pin Arm
- · Separate the blade and arm by pulling them out.
|
- Clean the windshield completely from oil, wax and any silicone based products before using EverbladesÒ heated windshield wipers. If windshields and blades are not clean prior to using Everblades® they may cause severe streaking, smearing and chattering – you will be dissatisfied.
- Mount heated wiper blade assembly using adapters supplied or adapters saved from previous wipers.
NOTE: It is recommended that the arrow on wiper saddle (if so marked) should point to the passenger side when installing wipers.
INSTALL NEW WIPER BLADES
Pin Arms
-
Rotate wiper adapter upward.
-
Insert pin arm through hole.
- Rotate wiper adapter downward until it locks with an audible snap with pin arm.

Hook Arm
-
Rotate wiper adapter and insert hook arm.

Engage hook arm with wiper adapter.

Push wiper blade back until it locks firmly with wiper arm.
- Make sure both retaining ridges are fully visible after installation.

Large Hook Arm
-
Snap new adapter provided from top until it locks with an audible snap on the metal pin.

Rotate the adapter and insert hook arm.
- Engage hook arm with adapter and pull wiper blade away from wiper arm until it locks firmly with the wiper arm.

Two Hole Bayonet Arm
-
Rotate wiper adapter.
-
Engage arm adapter with wiper adapter.
-
Pull arm adapter upward until it locks firmly, with an audible snap, to wiper adapter.
- Secure wiper arm with arm adapter using screws and lock washers.

Bayonet Arm
-
Rotate wiper adapter.
-
Insert and push wiper blade until the dimple is seated in the locating hole.
- Continue to push until you hear an audible snap with the wiper arm.

Female Pin Arm
-
Rotate wiper adapter.
-
Insert long metal pin from back into hole on wiper.
-
Rotate wiper adapter downward until it locks with an audible snap with pin.
- Engage wiper arm tab with pin until they lock together.
|
- Run black wires down the UNDER side of wiper arms to base, leaving a small loop for arm action.
- Secure wire to wiper arms with black plastic ties.
- Run remaining wires under the hood.
- Attach hook connector to GOOD ground.
Note: Parallel wired sets have a ground for each wiper.
- Re Hook remaining wires to mating connectors.
- Test wiper heat by turning “ON” the engine and lighted heated wiper blade switch.
NOTE: Blades should feel warm to the touch in a few minutes.
- · CAUTION: Everblades® are not a defroster; they work with your defroster.
- · If the windshield is frozen, turn the heat on to the wiper blades and let them heat up before starting wiper blade action. Also turn on the inside defroster.
- · Turn the wiper blade action “ON” when you see water running down the blades on the outside.
- 16. Trouble-shoot as follows:
- · If no heat in a few minutes, check fuses and connections.
- · Make sure both grounds are GOOD.
- Do call us if you have any questions or problems.
- v We can usually accommodate special applications.
- 18. Replace worn blades with Everblades® refills.
